Quote Only Shipment Postings

Sometimes shippers need pricing on a lane when there is no confirmed shipment imminently ready to go.  This is often the case when their sales department is putting together a proposal for a customer, and they need to factor in freight costs.

These shipments are not “live” today, but often become active shipments in the future.

“Quote Only” postings are meant to streamline pricing inquiries for both shippers and carriers.

When shippers post quote only loads they do not need to enter dates for pick up or delivery.  When quoting these shipments, carriers do not need to add ETA’s or indicate whether they can provide tracking links etc.

For a shipper, quote only postings are a quick way to capture pricing intelligence.  For carriers, quote only shipments are an easy way to showcase their name, service, and pricing to shippers for a chance to secure those loads when they become available in the future.
